EDWARDSVILLE, ILL—Marshall Meyer the lone Sand Shark to compete at the 58th Annual Men's Outdoor Track and Field National Championships completed his first marathon, finishing in 18th place with a time of 2:46:29.00 for the 26 mile course.

Meyer, who is only a freshman at USCB, finished 18:.02.00 behind the first place finisher Trent Waage, a senior from Black Hills State and only five places behind the first Sun Conference finisher, Nick Gehlsen a junior from Embry Riddle.
