HARDEEVILLE, SC-The USCB baseball team completed a 12 game home stand beating Benedict College 12-3 in a non league game Tuesday at the Richard Gray Baseball Complex in Hardeeville. Benedict used eight different pitchers who combined for a total of 188 pitches giving up 11 hits and 12 bases on balls as the Sand Sharks scored in all but two innings.
RJ Neal and
Jeremy Webb led the USCB onslaught with two hits apiece as Webb had three rbi's and Neal two runs batted in. Larry Perry also drove home two Sand Shark runs. USCB was also helped by five Benedict errors in the field.

Jared Campbell went the first four frames allowing three hits and an unearned run.
Kyle McCullough came on in relief to start the fifth and went three innings, giving up just one hit and a run to get the win. Andres Castro and
Andrew Barrineau pitched an inning apiece for USCB. Benedict starter, Michael Jordan, took the loss for the visitors.
The win gives the Sand Sharks an 18-7 record on the season as they go on the road for an important three game Sun Conference series at St. Thomas. They will play a single game on Friday at 6:00 and a doubleheader beginning at noon on Saturday.
