The Cove

On November 11, 2023 "the Cove" was official born and became the home of USCB's Men's and Women's Basketball teams as the Sand Sharks took the court for the first time against Morris College.

Sharon Versyp's squad took the floor and claimed a 70-47 victory over the Hornets in front of a sold out crowd. Makayla Premo led the way for Beaufort scoring 22 points, collecting four rebounds while dishing out three assists. Junior Shaniya Rose scored the program's first bucket.

Ron Fudala's men's team followed with a highlight reel worthy performance knocking off the Hornets 130-88. Marcus Overstreet and Kevaughn Price each scored 25 points and Qurahn Anderson added 20 as the Sand Sharks rolled to its first victory in program history. Zach Bowen scored the first points in history after knocking down a three-pointer from the wing.

Directions to the Cove

From I-95 Northbound
Take exit 8, take a right and go approximately 5 miles on Hwy 278E toward Hilton Head Island.
Go through the light at University Parkway and turn right at the second entrance to University Blvd (after passing the USCB sign in front of the pond).
Follow University Blvd until taking a left on E Campus Drive.
Continue down E Campus Drive until you reach the Recreation Center (next to lighted recreation field)

From I-95 Southbound

From East (Beaufort, Bluffton, and Hilton Head)
Head west on US-278 W/William Hilton Pkwy toward I-95.
Turn left turn at the first entrance to University Blvd.
Follow University Blvd until taking a left on E Campus Drive.
Continue down E Campus Drive until you reach the Recreation Center (next to lighted recreation field).

From West (Hardeeville, I-95)
Head east on US-278 E toward Hilton Head Island
Go through the light at University Parkway and turn right at the second entrance to University Blvd (after passing the USCB sign in front of the pond).
Follow University Blvd until taking a left on E Campus Drive.
Continue down E Campus Drive until you reach the Recreation Center (next to lighted recreation field).
