Thomasville, GA-- The USCB softball team was unable to take a game from the NAIA No. 14 Thomas University Night Hawks this evening at Armory Field, losing 0-5 and 0-2.
The Sand Sharks were held to just 3-24 at the plate in game one, where the offense struggled to get going against the Night Hawks' ace, Lauren West. One Sand Shark,

For the Sand Sharks,
Abby Pac handled the pitching duties, going all 6 innings for USCB.
In game two,
Kylie Kelly and
Rachel Frankhouser were able to put together 2-3 performances, each able to reach base from two singles in the game.
In the circle for game two was
Maria Molloseau, who went 6 innings, giving up up 2 runs on 4 hits while striking out 5.
Noteworthy Performance:
- Melina Martinez continued to be strong, defensively, for the Sand Sharks. Martinez was involved in 6 putouts and had 6 assists through the two games.
The Sand Sharks will be back home on Saturday, April 21, when they host the first-place team in the Sun Conference, Southeastern University (Fla.). The double-header is set to begin at 1 pm. Prior to game one, however, USCB will be honoring the lone senior on the team,
Carrie Cochran, and three senior women from the golf team,
