LAKELAND, Fla. - Ally Muraskin led the USCB softball team to a split with RV Southeastern, 1-0 and 2-0, on Saturday, as she struck out 10 Fire batters in game one of the doubleheader at SEU Softball Field.

Muraskin - seven innings, win, four hits, one run, no walks, 10 strikeouts
Devon Weller - 1-for-3, single, one RBI
Hoolie Garcia - 1-for-1, double, two walks
Rachel Frankhouser and Emily Phillips - one single each
HOW GAME ONE HAPPENED
After leaving a pair of runners on base in the first inning, USCB plated a solo run in the second inning. Garcia started the frame with a five-pitch walk, and Frankhouser followed with an infield single. Hampleton dropped down a sacrifice bunt, and after a strikeout, Weller cracked a single up the middle to score Frankhouser from second base.
Muraskin continued to dominate in the circle for USCB. The transfer from Florida International had three 1-2-3 innings in the one-run game. Southeastern threatened to score in the bottom of the fourth, but Muraskin stranded a pair of Fire players on the base paths.
USBC's offense struggled to find offense, but Muraskin held the Fire off the scoreboard in the 1-0 victory.
INSIDE THE GAME TWO BOX SCORE
Weller - 3-for-4, three singles
Ashlyn Alte and Zinia Hampleton - one single each
Maria Molloseau - 4.1 innings, four hits, two runs, one walk, two strikeouts
Libby Carey - 0.2 innings, one hit, no runs, no walks, one strikeout

HOW GAME TWO HAPPENED
After both teams left a runner on base in the first, Southeastern opened the scoring in the bottom of the second with a pair of runs. Lauren Watters led off with a walk, and Hannah Bonner followed with a hit-by-pitch. Britt Robinson scored one of her teammates with a RBI double, and Ramsey Sullivan laid down a bunt to account for the two runs in the frame.
After a hit in both the third and fourth innings, USCB had a prime chance to score runs in the fifth frame. Hampleton started the frame by reaching base on an error. Charli Shepheard reached on a fielder's choice, and Weller put two runners on with a single to left. Dunn forced the bases loaded with two outs on a fielding error. Unfortunately, the final out was recorded via a line out.
The Sand Sharks tried to mount a rally in the final inning, as Hampleton started the frame with a single up the middle. She moved into scoring position on a throwing error, but that was as far as she could get, as she was left in scoring position.
