Sarah Turrubiate is currently the interim head coach for both the men's and women's cross country and track & field programs at USC Beaufort. The long-time USCB coach and student-athlete was named the interim on Sept. 1, 2022.

Turrubiate had led the cross country program since 2019, and she has coached five national cross country qualifiers. During her tenure, Turrubiate has kept the USCB cross country programs in the top half of the conference year, where she led the women's cross country team to a third place finish in 2020 (the highest women's placement in USCB history). Under her guidance, she also coached the men's cross country team to becoming conference champions.

While also coaching the cross country teams, Turrubiate also oversaw and coached both the men's and women's track & field teams. She has coached multiple national qualifiers and All-Americans while on the staff - from the marathon, 10K, triple jump, long jump and heptathlon. Turrubiate specializes in jumps and distance, while holding Level 1, Level 2 Endurance, Level 2 Jump and Emerging Elite Jump certifications. Turrubiate received training under Olympic Coach and Director of Operations at Chula Vista OTC, Jeremy Fisher.

As a meet director for USCB cross country and track & field, she has brought the first two high school cross country invitationals to the USCB campus. She started in this role in 2019 and continues to oversee this title.

Turrubiate is a graduate of USCB and was a Sand Shark cross country and track & field athlete from 2010-14. She even earned the title as USCB's first high jumper and 400m hurdler. As a Champion of Character in both cross country and track, Turrubuate maintained top-5 position on the cross country roster.Â
