Alexandria Simmons joined the USCB softball coaching staff as a student assistant in 2014 after playing the final two years of her collegiate career for the Sand Sharks. She joined the staff as a full-time assistant prior to the 2015-16 school year. Simmons was an All-Sun Conference shortstop as a senior, batting .405 with a school-record 17 doubles, nine home runs and a team-high 45 RBIs. A native of Pendleton, S.C., Simmons came to USCB after playing two seasons at Florence-Darlington Tech.
