Cora Zackrison

Entering the 2021-22 season, Cora Zackrison will be in charge of the outfielders and catchers and will also be in charge of strength and conditioning, day-to-day operations and administrative duties.

Zackrison joined the USCB softball team right before the 2021 season. She coached outfielders and was also in charge of day-to-day operations as well as administrative duties.

The Sand Shark softball team started the year 6-0 with sweeps over Columbia International, Montreat and Brewton-Parker. The Sand Sharks also garnered national attention when they upset No. 6 Georgia Gwinnett, 7-1, and No. 24 Truett McConnell, 4-1, on the road.

While on staff, Zackrison helped USCB make a run in the Sun Conference Tournament in 2021, which ended in the semifinals. She saw eight Sand Sharks garner Sun Conference All-Academic honors, while also seeing one player - Bri Dunn - capture Second Team All-Sun Conference honors. She also coached Ashlyn Alte to Sun Conference All-Tournament recognition for her performance at the postseason outing.

Prior to joining USCB, she joined the University of Jamestown coaching staff as a graduate assistant where she primarily worked with outfielders. Despite a COVID-shortened 2020 season, she helped the Jimmies reach a national ranking of 18th.

As a four-year starting outfielder, Zackrison played college softball at Concordia College - Moorehead. The current outfielder's and catcher's coach graduated from Concordia with a bachelor's degree in exercise science, while minoring in Spanish.

Zackrison finished her master’s degree in Leadership with a specialty in Healthcare from the University of Jamestown in the spring of 2021.
