Xavier Morris

Xavier Morris beings his fourth season on the track and field coaching staff, rejoining the Sand Sharks for the 2023-2024 season following a one-year absence. He oversees the team's throws events. 

Prior to joining the Sand Sharks in the 2019 season, Morris’ coaching career began as the throws coach at Beaufort High School. During his time at Beaufort High School, Morris coached numerous state champion and all-state level throwers in the shot put, discus, and javelin. Along with winning two SCHSL 4A state championships. 

A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Morris graduated from Beaufort High School in 2010 and earned his bachelor's degree from The Pennsylvania State University in Criminology and minors in Political Science and Sociology in 2015. Morris has had numerous athletes score at the conference championships including a two-time champion in Michael Martello in 2024.

He also coached Linda Fross to a silver medal in the shot put in the 2019 National Senior Games in Albuquerque, New Mexico. 

Coach Morris holds a USATF Level 2 certification in the throws and is active in the track and field community on numerous levels.
