Baron (BJ) Oliver joins coach Terica Harris' track and field coaching staff in 2024 to work with the program's jumpers and sprinters.
Coach Oliver has been in the South Carolina Lowcountry since 2013. He joined the coaching staff at Bluffton High School that same year where he worked with both the football and track and field team until 2016 when he moved to Hilton Head High School, working in the same position.
Prior to his arrival in South Carolina coach Oliver worked in New Jersey as a high school football and track and field coach from 1986-2013.
A member of the United States Marine Corp from 1979-1986 and received his machinist and carpentry degree from the Newark Tech School of Technology in 1980.
