Jaden Goodwin, a former Sand Shark student-athlete, returns to USCB as an assistant coach in 2025.
A two-year starter at USCB, Goodwin put together a stellar campaign for the Sand Sharks. Over 88 games, she hit .362 and slugged .546, hit 27 doubles, and 6 home runs, drove in 71 RBI, drawing 30 BB, and a team best 30 hit by pitch. Goodwin, a two-time PBC player of the week, was instrumental in a senior weekend series win against North Georgia (No.8) to secure the program’s first post-season berth in its NCAA era. In the bottom of the sixth, with USCB down by two runs, Goodwin delivered a two-run blast to give the Sand Sharks the lead enough to secure a victory and a spot in the PBC tournament. Goodwin was also named PBC Second Team All-Conference in the 2025 season.
Before USCB, Goodwin played one season at Florida Southwestern University (NJCAA D1) in Fort Myers, Florida. In her sophomore season, she hit .406, slugged .493, and had an on-base percentage of .494. She recorded back-to-back multi-hit games in their post-season run to an NJCAA D1 National Championship in 2024.
Goodwin began her career at UAB and appeared in five games for the Blazers.
Goodwin graduated from USCB in 2024 with a bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in psychology. Goodwin was twice named to the PBC Presidential Honor Roll.
A Corner, Alabama native, Goodwin graduated from Corner High School.
