USCB Athletics

Tana Turner enters her fifth year as the Director of Sports Medicine at the University of South Carolina Beaufort, having joined the department in December 2020. She oversees the healthcare of all USCB student-athletes and serves as the university’s Athletics Healthcare Administrator.

Before coming to USCB, Turner spent four years in Thailand, working with a non-profit organization along the Thai-Myanmar border, providing medical support and outreach in underserved communities.

A 2003 graduate of East Texas Baptist University, Turner earned her bachelor's degree in Biology and Sports Medicine while competing as a member of the collegiate women's soccer team.

She brings a strong background in rehabilitation and has worked extensively in the physical therapy field. Turner holds certifications in CPR, First Aid, and AED, and is a current member of both the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) and the South Carolina Athletic Trainers’ Association (SCATA).
