Justin Jarrett returned to the USCB Athletic Department in 2023 as the official voice of Sand Shark Basketball.
After stepping away from collegiate athletics in 2017, Jarrett began his own business LowcoSports which covers all local high school sports in the South Carolina Lowcountry.
He previously served USCB as the athletic department's sports information director and director of marketing beginning in November 2011.
Before coming to USCB, Jarrett worked in the sports department of The Island Packet and The Beaufort Gazette from July 2005 to November 2011, beginning as a sports reporter and earning promotions to assistant sports editor for online and eventually sports editor.
A 2004 graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, Jarrett has won numerous writing awards at the state and national level, including eight awards from the prestigious Associated Press Sports Editors contest.
Jarrett lives in Bluffton with his wife, Megan, and their son, Truman (2010), and daughter, Finley (2013).
