WALESKA, Ga. — The University of South Carolina Beaufort women's soccer team wrapped up its two-game weekend road trip with a 5-0 defeat at Reinhardt (Ga.) on Sunday.
The match was fairly even in the first half, with each team producing six shots, but the Eagles were able to cash in two of their efforts. Megan McCall took advantage of a defensive miscue to open the scoring in the 15th minute, and Lindsey White added a goal in the 37th minute to give Reinhardt a 2-0 halftime lead.
Katie Goodrich added a pair of second-half goals and Allie Hale had a goal and two assists for the Eagles.
Senior Emily Mentrup played the first 15 minutes in goal for USCB, allowing one goal and making one save. Freshman Randi Anzek played the final 75 minutes, allowing four goals with two saves.
The Sand Sharks return home for their next three contests beginning against Truett-McConnell (Ga.) at 1 p.m. Saturday.
