SAVANNAH, Ga. – The USCB women's golf team opened its spring season Friday, dropping a dual match to No. 2 SCAD Savannah at the Club at Savannah Harbor. 

The Bees carded a team score of 306, led by medalist Sofia Molinaro's even-par 72, to edge the eighth-ranked Sand Sharks by 11 shots. 

USCB's Franzi Knoetsch and SCAD's Mariona Maeso tied for second with rounds of 3-over 75, while USCB's Vanessa Schloo shot 76 to finish fourth. 

Moa Kristenson, Lina Sekerkova and Megan Martin all shot 83 for the Sand Sharks, followed by Emily Turner with an 84, Alexa Wilson at 86 and Maggie Black with a 96. 

The Sand Sharks are back in action Feb. 29-March 1 at the Armstrong Pirate Invitational at Savannah Quarters Country Club in Pooler, Ga.
