WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The USCB baseball team dropped the finale of its three-game Sun Conference series at No. 7 Keiser on Saturday, falling 13-1 in eight innings.
The Seahawks took an early lead with a run in the first, but USCB answered to tie it on Nick Payne's RBI single in the second.
Tivon Faneyte's home run in the bottom of the second sparked a three-run inning, and the Seahawks never let USCB back in it. Miguel Castellanos held the Sand Sharks to one run and eight hits in an eight-inning complete game.
Keiser pushed across two runs in the seventh and blew it open with seven in the eighth, with Jack Curtis' grand slam ending the game on the 10-run rule.
Payne was 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Thomas Estopare was 2-for-4 with a double for USCB.
