Hardeeville, SC-- The strong offense from the Sand Sharks continued this afternoon at Richard Gray Sports Complex. The USCB softball team won both games of the double-header against the visitors from Brewton-Parker College, winning 10-2 and 8-0.
Junior
Canyon Crosby (2-1) threw 6 innings, giving up 6 hits and 2 runs en route to a 10-2 win for the Sand Sharks. Sophomore
Taylor Boykin went 2-4 at the plate while scoring 3 runs,
Kayla Boyle and Crosby combined for 5 RBI's.
In the second game of the double-header, earning her second start as a Sand Shark, freshman
Maria Molloseau went 5 innings, giving up 3 hits and 0 runs, to earn her second straight win. At the plateÂ
Rachel Frankhouser went 2-4 with 2 runs and 2 RBI's while Boykin went 2-3 and also had 2 runs and 2 RBI's.
The USCBÂ softball team will play again tomorrow when Piedmont International (NC) comes to town for a double-header beginning at 2:00 PM. The Bruins come to town on a 4-game skid, having lost to No. 5 Brenau and to North Carolina Wesleyan. Piedmont ace Hannah Renfroe is also their best hitter, so it will be an interesting matchup for USCB. The game will be brought to you free-of-charge by the

- With her 4 RBI's today, outfielder Kayla Boyle took the team lead with 11.
- Freshman Maria Molloseau is now 2-0 with a 0.0 ERA. The last freshman pitcher to start her career at USCB 2-0 was current junior Abby Pac in 2016 with wins against College of Coastal Georgia and Middle Georgia College.
