Hardeeville, SC -- The USCB softball team continued its winning ways this evening at Richard Gray Sports Complex after they took both games of a double-header with Piedmont International University, 4-0 and 4-3. USCB is now 8-2 on the season.
Plating three runs in the bottom of the first inning helped the Sand Sharks to the first win of the evening and pitcher
Abby Pac to her third win this season.
Canyon Crosby knocked in
Kayla Boyle and
Taylor Boykin, and then
Alexa Moore knocked in Crosby to put USCB up by three. Later in the sixth inning

Pac pitched a complete game, giving up one hit and zero runs.
The second game of the day was much closer and pushed the Sand Sharks to come back from an early 0-2 deficit. In the bottom of the fourth inning
Maria Molloseau cut the lead by half thanks to her RBI-single to right field, bringing in Crosby. USCB would complete the comeback in the very next inning, scoring three more runs off an RBI-single from
Kylie Kelly, a wild pitch that brought in
Haley Hawkins, and finally a sacrifice fly from Crosby to bring home Kelly.
Crosby pitched the win in the game, going five innings, giving up eight hits and three runs. Molloseau came in to close the door on the charging Bruins to pick up the save for the Sand Sharks.
