Game Recap: Softball |

@USCBSoftball goes 2-for-2 today against UPike

Hardeeville, SC-- The USCB softball team dealt themselves two more wins this evening at the Richard Gray Sports Complex, winning 15-4 and 5-1 over visiting University of Pikeville (Kent.).

An 8-run first inning for the Sand Sharks put the game out of reach for the Bears, as the team saw runs scored from Rachel Frankhouser (2), Canyon Crosby, Natassja Hatcher, Kylie Kelly, Maria Molloseau, Alexa Moore, and Caroline Heaton. USCB added seven more runs through the next three innings to invoke the run-rule (up by 8 runs after five innings).

Picking up the win for the Sand Sharks in game one was Crosby, now 4-1, who went 5 innings pitched, giving up 4 runs on 4 hits.

The second game went the full seven innings with junior Abby Pac picking up the pitching duties for the Sand Sharks. Pac went the complete game, giving up 1 run on 2 hits. Pac is now 4-2 on the season.

Kayla Boyle lifted the Sand Sharks offensively in the second, going 3-4 at the plate with 2 runs scored. Kaila Billingsley also picked up her first two hits as a Sand Shark as well as her first RBI to help her team go 2-0 on the day against a young University of Pikeville team.

USCB Softball is back at it again tomorrow afternoon. They are set to play University of Michigan Dearborn in a double-header beginning at 12 pm. The live broadcast will be brought to you at www.uscbathletics.com/live.
