Laurinburg, NC- USCB softball swept both ends of their doubleheader against the St Andrews Knights on Saturday. The Sand Sharks won the 1st game 11-0 in 5 innings behind Abby Pac's 3rd win of the year, and took the 2nd game 7-4 behind Canyon Crosby's 2nd home run of the season. The sweep moved USCB's record to 6-0 on the year, and gave Bailey Wigness 6 consecutive wins to begin her career as head coach. 
 
Game 1 Notes: 
Among the offensive stars for the Sand Sharks: 
* Kayla Boyle went 3 for 4 with a double and 3 runs scored. 
* Natassja Hatcher went 3 for 4 with a double and 3 RBIs. 
* Haley Hawkins was 1 for 1 with 2 RBIs. 
* Alexa Moore was 1 for 1 with 2 RBIs. 
* Kaitlyn O'Hearn went 2 for 3 with 1 RBI. 
* Shania Dominigue was 1 for 2 with 1 RBI. 
* USCB also got hits from Taylor Boykin and Canyon Crosby. 
* Abby Pac moved to 3-0 on the season, pitching 4 innings with 0 runs, 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. Pac's ERA remains at 0.00 on the season. 
* Kinsey Sords pitched a scoreless inning in relief of Pac. 
 
Game 2 Notes: 
* Kayla Boyle and Shania Dominique each went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs. 
* Taylor Boykin went 3 for 4. 
* Canyon Crosby was 1 for 1 with her 2nd home run of 2019. 
* Maria Molloseau - who won the game as pitcher (1-0) also went 1 for 2 at the plate with 1 RBI. 
* Natassja Hatcher and Alexa Moore each had a hit in the game, and Kylie Kelly added an RBI for USCB. 
* Maria Molloseau pitched 4 ⅓ innings, giving up 5 hits and 1 run. Canyon Crosby pitched 2 ⅓ in relief, and Sloan Ducey got the final out for the Sand Sharks. 
* St Andrews' offense was led by Cassie Fortner and Nikki Santiago who had 2 hits apiece, and by RBIs from Fortner, Stevie Holland, and Rachel Swartwood. 
 
USCB softball returns home on Friday for a doubleheader at 2pm vs Brewton Parker, and then takes the diamond on Saturday at 1pm for a doubleheader vs Columbia International University. All games will be broadcast live at uscbathletics.com/live.
