Hardeeville, SC- Behind dominant pitching performances by Sloan Ducey and Abby Pac, USCB softball swept their doubleheader at Sand Shark Park on Friday against the Brewton Parker Barons by scores of 4-0 and 8-0 (5 innings). With these wins, the Sand Sharks move to 8-0 on the season.  In game 1, Ducey (1-0) threw a complete game, 1 hit shutout, allowing just 1 walk and striking out 10. In the 5 inning 2nd game, Pac improved to 4-0 on the season with 4 innings of no-hit ball with 0 walks and 5 strikeouts.
 
Game 1 Notes:

• Kaitlyn O'Hearn was 1 for 2 with 2 RBIs
• Shania Domingue was 1 for 3 with a double and 2 RBIs
• The Sand Sharks also had hits from Rachel Frankhouser, Natassja Hatcher, and Taylor Boykin
• Lexi Mays had the lone hit for the Barons
• Rebecca Eddins started the game for the Barons, going 4 ⅓ innings and giving up 5 hits and 4 runs.
• Emily Dillard pitched the final 1 ⅔ innings for Brewton Parker, striking out 1

Game 2 Notes:

• Kayla Boyle, Taylor Boykin, and Natassja Hatcher were each 2 for 3 with 1 RBI
• Kaleigh Furbush was 1 for 1 with 2 RBIs
• Shania Domingue and Alexa Moore were each 1 for 3 with an RBI
• Melina Martinez was 1 for 1 with an RBI
• The Sand Sharks also got hits from Haley Hawkins and Rachel Frankhouser
• Lexi Mays again had the only hit for the Barons, going 1 for 2
• Kayley Sapp (0-3) started the game for Brewton Parker, going 3 innings and giving up 9 hits and 4 earned runs
• Emily Dillard pitched the final inning for the Barons, giving up 3 hits and 3 runs
