Hardeeville, SC- USCB softball stayed red hot on Saturday, winning both ends of their doubleheader against the Columbia International Rams, and improving their record to a perfect 10-0 to start 2019.
After falling behind the Rams 3-2 in Game 1, the Sand Sharks tied the game at 3 in the bottom of the 6th after Kayla Boyle was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Haley Hawkins then gave the Sand Sharks their most dramatic at-bat of the afternoon, crushing a grand slam to left and putting the Sand Sharks on top for good, 7-3. Kinsey Sords (2-0) picked up the win for USCB.
In Game 2, Kayla Boyle went 1 for 3 with 3 RBIs to back starting pitcher Maria Molloseau (3-0) and lead the Sand Sharks to an 11-0, 5-inning victory.
