Savannah, GA - After starting the day in 7th place in a field of 18 teams, the USCB men's golf team came all the way back on Sunday to win the Invitation at Savannah Harbor by 2 strokes over Austin Peay State. The Sand Sharks finished the tournament with a score of 872 (+8).
Sunday's incredible comeback at The Club at Savannah Harbor was led by Jacob Thomas's sensational 6-under par 66, and Bobby Dunphy's beautiful 3-under par 69. Dunphy and Thomas finished the individual portion of the tournament tied for 15th and 18th, respectively. In addition to Thomas and Dunphy, the Sand Sharks had strong final rounds from Jack Faraci with a 1-over par 73, Marc Sweeney with a 2-over par 74, and Veerapat Bhasavanich with a 5-over par 77. The Sand Sharks final round of 282 was 2nd only to Austin Peay State's 2nd round of 280 as the low round of the tournament.
