Miami Gardens, FL - After winning the opening game of their series against Florida Memorial on Friday by a 6-4 score, USCB baseball got a much needed Sun Conference series win on Saturday in Miami, splitting the doubleheader with the Lions and winning the series two games to one. In game 1 on Saturday, Bobby Wenthe smashed his 2nd home run of the year, but the Sand Sharks lost the game in the bottom of the 9th by an 8-7 score. However, USCB came storming back to take game 2, led by Bobby Wenthe's 2 hits and 4 RBIs, winning 13-6.
 
Game 1 Notes:   

• Bobby Wenthe was 1 for 4 and crushed his 2nd home run of the year
• Robbie Mckinney was 3 for 5 with a triple
• Bragg Eastin was 2 for 5 with a double and a triple
• Tavaris Terrell was 1 for 4 with a double and an RBI
• Jay Newell was 1 for 1 with an RBI
• Chris Vazquez picked up an RBI
• Harrison Merck started the game for USCB, pitching 7 strong innings
• Brandon Brown (0-1) pitched 1 ⅓ innings in relief, and picked up the loss

Game 2 Notes:

• Bobby Wenthe was 2 for 5 with a double and 4 RBIs
• Tristan Triplett was 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs
• Cole Hamilton was 2 for 4 with an RBI
• Tavaris Terrell was 2 for 3 with an RBI
• Steven Mojica was 1 for 3 with an RBI
• Bragg Eastin was 1 for 4 with a double and an RBI
• Chris Vazquez was 1 for 4 with an RBI
• Chris Hitchman started the game for USCB and picked up the win, pitching 3 ⅓ innings
• Tanner Davis, Ryan Pedersen, and DJ Lawler pitched in relief.
