Miami, FL –Sloan Ducey pitched another complete game shutout for #13 USCB softball, leading the Sand Sharks to a 5-inning, 14-0 victory in game 1 of their TSC doubleheader against the St. Thomas Bobcats on Saturday in Miami. The Bobcats came back and took a close 2nd game 5-3.
In game 1,
Shania Domingue and
Kayla Boyle led the offense, with Domingue going 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBIs, and Boyle going 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs.
Natassja Hatcher and
Rachel Frankhouser also had a good game, with 2 hits and 1 RBI apiece.
Sloan Ducey pitched a complete game, allowing just 4 hits, 1 walk and striking out 3.
In game 2,
Kayla Boyle was a perfect 4 for 4 at the plate, including a double, to once again lead the offense.
Abby Pac started the game and took the loss, pitching 4 1/3 innings.
Maria Molloseau came on in relief and pitched the final 1 1/3 innings.
