Miami Gardens, FL- Capped by a bases-clearing triple by Kelvin Brito, USCB baseball came off the deck to tie the game at 7 in the top of the 8th on Saturday in Miami, but fell to the #10 St. Thomas Bobcats 9-7. Harrison Merck started the game for the Sand Sharks, pitching 5 innings. Ryan Pedersen and Tanner Davis pitched in relief, with Davis taking the loss. 
 
On the offensive side for the Sand Sharks: 
* Chris Vazquez was 3 for 4, including the game-tying RBI single in the 8th 
* Steven Mojica went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBIs 
* Cole Hamilton was 2 for 5 with 2 doubles 
* David Villafane was 1 for 1 with a double 
* Nick DelBianco had an RBI 
 
The Sand Sharks return home to Sand Shark Park on Tuesday, the 26th, to face the Benedict College Tigers at 3pm. The Sand Shark Gameday Network will broadcast the action live at uscbathletics.com/live. 
 
USCB baseball then travels to Jacksonville, FL on Friday, the 29th, to play Trinity Baptist 
College Eagles in a single game at 7pm, followed by a doubleheader on Saturday, the 30th, beginning at 12 noon.
