MIAMI, Fla. - Following her 10-strikeout performance at RV Southeastern, senior transfer Ally Muraskin was tabbed The Sun Conference Pitcher of the Week on Monday, April 12.
Muraskin started game one of the doubleheader versus the Fire, and the FIU transfer was untouchable. She worked a complete game shutout en route to the 1-0 win. She scattered just four hits and didn't allow a single walk. She struck out 10 Fire batters and worked three 1-2-3 innings - highlighted by striking out the side in the third inning.Â
Muraskin has appeared in 17 games this year to go along with 11 starts. He has an eye-opening 1.29 ERA to go along with a stellar 0.79 WHIP. She has nine of the USCB's 14 complete games. Overall, she has twirled 83.2 frames and has held opponents to a minuscule .173 batting average. She has allowed just 12 earned runs, 15 walks and struck out 99 total batters.Â
Currently she ranks 12th in the NAIA in ERA, 16th in opposing batting average, 16th in hits allowed per game (4.27) and 35th in earned runs.Â
In the Sun Conference, Muraskin leads the league in ERA, opposing batting average, strikeouts and earned runs allowed.
Muraskin and the entire USCB softball squad will return to the friendly confines of Richard Gray Stadium on April 17, when it hosts a pivotal matchup with Warner. The doubleheader is set to begin at noon in Hardeeville, S.C.
