HOW IT HAPPENED
Bryan jumped out quickly, as it took a 9-1 advantage in the first two frames (four in the first and five in the second). USCB's lone run in that stretch came in the first, as Humphrey connected with a sacrifice fly.
The Sand Sharks started to battle and chip away at the eight-run deficit, as it plated four total runs in the third and fourth innings. Milhan scored Russ on a RBI ground out in the third, and in the fourth, Terrell, Sorbara and Castro all touched home via three Lion errors.
Down by four (9-5), USCB made it a three-run game in the bottom of the sixth. Sellers cracked the run-scoring hit to make the game interesting, 9-6.
Unfortunately for the Sand Sharks, that would be as close as they would get, as BC added a pair of runs in the top of the ninth to win the game 11-6.
