MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - To open Sun Conference action, the USCB women's soccer team traveled to Miami Gardens and handed Florida Memorial a 10-0 defeat on Thursday afternoon at Dr. Lester Brown Park.

How It Happened
USCB started its first league contest in dominating fashion, as it netted six goals in a seven-minute span (fifth to 12th minute). Baldo scored the first three tallies of the contest by scoring in the fifth, sixth and seventh minutes. Bye-Andersen made it a 4-0 game in the ninth minute, and Foshee rippled the twine twice in the 11th and 12 minutes.
The Sand Sharks continued to pepper the FMU net and eventually found the net again in the 33rd minute when Matusik scored her fifth goal of the year.
After a dominating first half, USCB started the second 45-minute session like the first. Jakobs netted a goal in the fourth minute of the half, and Kalvatn scored 11 minutes in the second half to make it 9-0.
With just nine minutes remaining, USCB took the double-digit lead to seal the 10-0 win. The double-digit goal scored performance marked the third time this year USCB has accomplished that feat (all shutouts).
In the contest with FMU, USCB outshot the Lions, 23-0, and also held the advantage, 8-0, in corner kicks.
