HOW IT HAPPENED

After holding USCB off the scoreboard in the first two innings, Southeastern took command of the game early with four runs in each the first and second innings to take the 8-0 lead.

In the top of the third, USCB scratched across two runs - both of which were scored on wild pitches.

The Fire added on a pair of runs in the fourth and fifth innings to advance the lead back to eight, 10-2, but USCB plated another run in the top of the sixth off a Fire error.

The two teams exchanged runs in the sixth and seventh innings, which made it a 13-4 affair after seven complete.

USCB didn't cave, though, as it scored three runs in the eighth and a lone run in the ninth. Despite the late effort, USCB fell to the Fire, 13-8.
