BABSON PARK, Fla. - To open up a three-games series against conference rival Webber International, the USCB softball team fell to the RV (receiving votes) Warrior team, 8-0, on Friday afternoon at Nancy Nichols Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first two frames flew by for both clubs, as USCB and Webber combined for just one hit in that two-inning span.
The Sand Sharks had a pivotal chance to plate runs in the top of the third when Coleman and Walker connected with back-to-back, leadoff singles. Unfortunately, they were left stranded, as the next three Sand Sharks went down in order.
The Warriors broke the scoreless tie in the bottom of the frame with a pair of runs off three hits and a walk.
WIU doubled its lead in the fourth and put the contest away in the fifth with four runs to claim the 8-0 series-opening win.
