BLUFFTON, S.C. - For two consecutive weeks and the third time this year, senior USCB men's golf Jacob Thomas was named the Continental Athletic Conference's Golfer of the Week for his performance at the Roadrunner Classic from April 3-4.
Thomas led the Sand Sharks at the two-day, three-round tournament with a tied for 10th finish. The senior shot a 7-over 223 (71-79-73) at the tournament. The Canadian was strong on par-5s, as he went 1-under on the long holes. He was near the top of the field in par-4 scoring at 5-over. Overall, he collected 10 birdies, which was tied for fifth in the 66-person field, along with 30 total pars.
Thomas and the Sand Sharks will conclude their regular season with a dual match against Drexel on April 20. The 18-hole outing will be held at Oldfield Golf Club.
