Dove brilliant out of pen, Driscoll-Sadusky’s four RBI lead USCB’s come from behind win

HARDEEVILL -- Tucker Dove entered in relief with the bases loaded and struck out Torry Jones to end the Tigers' fourth inning threat and Aiden Driscoll-Sadusky capped a three-hit night with a go-head bases clearing double, propelling USCB to a 6-3 come from behind win Wednesday afternoon in Hardeeville.

The Sand Sharks' top of the lineup fueled the offense being responsible for six of the teams eight hits. Driscoll-Sandusky went 3-for-4 out of the three hole while Carson Phillips continued his hot hitting collecting two hits and a stolen base and Hunter Miller added one and scored twice.

Starter Tyler Hower went 1-2-3 to open the game and USCB broke through in the first with Driscoll-Sadusky's run scoring hit. However, set down the Tigers in order in the second, but EWU knotted the game at one in the third. Edward Waters took a 3-1 after getting into Beaufort's pen. Ty Siksta allowed a double to open the inning but struck out the next batter. Two singles, a passed ball, and a walk forced the call to the bullpen, setting the stage for Dove. The senior right-hander struck out Torry Jones ending the rally.

Carson Phillips worked a bases loaded walk in the deceive inning, bring Driscoll-Sadusky up and he promptly unloaded the bases with a double down the right field line. USCB added another unearned run in the eighth.

Ian Barnes toed the rubber in the ninth and after a one-out double the freshman closer locked down the win getting the next two batters to fly out earning his third save of the year.
