Softball blanked by GSW to open series

HARDEEVILLE -- Addie Reynolds collected two hits and Taelor Change added a base knock, but USCB left 10 runners on base and were blanked by Georgia Southwestern Friday afternoon at the Richard Gray Sports Complex.
 
Cierra Kinlaw (5-6) took the tough luck loss tossing a complete game, allowing three runs, all earned, and striking out two. The Canes pushed three runs across against Kinlaw in the third after Lacey Rutledge doubled home two and Ansley Duffey brought home another with a safety squeeze. USCB left two runners in scoring position in the second and left the bases loaded in the third but failed to push across a run.
 
The Sand Sharks and Hurricanes will play a doubleheader tomorrow beginning at 1 p.m. to conclude the series.
