Sand Shark's season concludes with loss to Aiken

AIKEN -- The 2024 baseball season concluded Sunday afternoon as USCB fell to rival USC Aiken 5-3 at Roberto Hernandez Stadium. The Sand Sharks finish the season 13-31 overall and 8-19 in Peach Belt play.

Starter Tucker Dove gave up two runs on five hits over 3.1 innings, but the bats made tied up in the third after Hunter Miller doubled home Jake Tanner and a Julian Galassi ground out. The Pacers tacked on a single run in the fourth and two in the sixth to make it 5-2. Galassi made it a two-run game with a single in the seventh and USCB loaded the bases in both the eighth and ninth inning but failed to plate the equalizer.
