STATESBORO, GEORGIA – The University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB) men's golf team completed the three-round Division I tournament Bash in the Boro, hosted by Georgia Southern at Georgia Southern University Golf Club. The Sand Sharks finished 12th overall in the field, with their best performance coming in the final round. They posted a total score of 895 (296-304-295) over the three rounds.
Georgia Southern claimed the team title with a score of 833 (278-277-278), while Logan Graf of Campbell finished as the individual leader.
Two Sand Sharks tied for 43rd as the team's top individual finishers, each posting a total score of 222. Nikolai Holme carded his best round, a 71, in round two. He recorded eight birdies (tied for the team high) and 32 pars. Octavio Laurent tied for the tournament lead in pars with 40 and added five birdies, with his lowest round being a 73.
Christofer Hammar finished strong, carding his best score in the final round with an even-par 72 to bring his total to 226 and a 60th-place finish. He recorded seven birdies and 30 pars, and tied a tournament-high with two eagles, one in round two and another on hole one of round three.
Jan Ciric followed, finishing 64th overall with a three-round total of 227. He posted his lowest rounds in the first and third rounds (73-81-73), finishing with 30 pars and tying for the team lead with eight birdies.
Dylan Allen rounded out the Sand Sharks' lineup, finishing 75th with a total score of 232, including a final-round 77. He added seven birdies and 31 pars to his tournament tally.
After wrapping up the Bash in the Boro, the Sand Sharks will return to action at the Golfweek Fripp Island to Bermuda tournament, held October 20–21 in Fripp Island, South Carolina.
