Edwards paces USCB in dual match versus Bees

BEAUFORT -- Senior Jessica Edwards carded a team-best 6-over round during women's golf dual match versus former NAIA rival SCAD Savannah, but the Bees won the match 330-310 Saturday afternoon at the Cat Island Golf Club in Beaufort.

Edwards began he round strong paring the first three holes. She then bogied holes four and six before finishing the front nine at 2-over. The senior would score par on five of nine holes and bogey two and card a triple bogey on 17. Her lone birdie of the day came on the 16th par three.

McLain Neal finished her round with an 80 while Camila Giordani finished at 14-over, Manon Tortelier at 17-over and Jennifer Larsson shot 91. Florence Phan competing as an individual shot 81 on the day.

THe Sand Sharks are back on the links next week at the Battle of Hilton Head hosted by Barton College.
