GAINESVILLE, GEORGIA – The University of South Carolina Beaufort Men's Golf team wrapped up their season-opening tournament Tuesday afternoon with the third and final round of the three-day event. The Sand Sharks finished seventh overall with a team total of 873 (290-292-291). Highlighted by a top ten finish from Octavio Laurent.

Lander University claimed the tournament title with a final total of 854.

Leading the Sand Sharks was Octavio Laurent, who shot an even-par 72 in the final round, finishing two-under for the tournament with a total of 214. Laurent tied for 10th place overall, recording seven birdies and 42 pars—ranking second-most in the field.

Dylan Allen matched Laurent in round three with an even-par 72 and finished 19th overall with a tournament total of 216. He led the team in birdies with 13 and added 30 pars across the three rounds for a 19th place finish on the leaderboard.

Nikolai Holme tied for 32nd overall after carding a 73 (+1) in the final round, bringing his total to 219. Holme notched 28 pars and 11 birdies during the tournament, along with an eagle in round two.

Alfie Reynolds delivered a consistent performance, matching his second-round total with a 74 (+2) in the final round. He concluded the tournament with a total of 224, highlighted by seven birdies and 33 pars.

Christofer Hammar posted his best round on the final day, finishing with a 74 (+2). He placed 73rd overall with a total of 232, tallying 28 pars and six birdies throughout the event.

The Men's Golf team will return to action next week at the Hurricane Invitational, hosted by Georgia Southwestern State University, beginning September 22. The two-day tournament will mark the team's second appearance of the season.
