Dahlonega, Georgia — The University of South Carolina Beaufort Men's Golf team concluded its first tournament of the season Tuesday at the Lake Lanier Collegiate Classic, hosted by the University of North Georgia at Achasta Golf Club.

USCB placed ninth overall, finishing four over par as a team with a total score of 844 (285-280-279). North Georgia claimed the team title, while Ashton Eubanks of North Georgia was the individual champion.

The Sand Sharks were led by Leif Breede, who finished tied for 34th overall at two over par with a total score of 212. Breede's best round came in the second round, when he carded a 65. He led the team with 11 birdies while recording 32 pars over three rounds.

Benxing Shi followed with a total score of 213, including a team-best round of 69 in the second round, finishing one under par. Shi recorded nine birdies and a team-high 36 pars throughout the tournament.

Nikolai Holme finished tied for 44th overall with a total score of 214. His best round came in the third and final round, when he shot a three-under-par 67. Holme recorded 10 birdies and 34 pars during the tournament.

Alex Yuill finished 48th overall with a total score of 215. Yuill's best rounds were a pair of 71s in the first and second rounds. He finished the tournament with 10 birdies and 33 pars.

Jake Heinrich finished tied for 81st overall with a total score of 224. His best round came in the third round, when he shot a four-under-par 66. Heinrich recorded eight birdies and 32 pars throughout the tournament.

The Sand Sharks Men's Golf team will return to action on September 28 at the 2026 National Preview in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The two-day tournament will mark USCB's second event of the season.
