Nic is the son of Michael and Julie Tones of Bluffton.  He is a 2008 graduate of Bluffton HS graduating 4th in his class academically of 300 graduates.  Nic is a Palmetto Scholar and a Heritage Scholar.  He finished second and fourth in the 3A SC Cross Country Championships as a junior and senior helped his team win two team state championhips. On the track, he was an all state performer in the 1600 as a senior and has bests of 4:29 (mile), 9:54 (2 mile) and 1:59 (800).
