Mike Bowles enters his fourth season on the USCB Baseball staff in 2025. He is the secondary hitting coach along with being the outfield coach while also coaching first base.

Prior to his arrival in the Lowcountry, he coached at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, where he served as the outfielder coordinator and assisted with the Retrievers hitters.

Coach Bowles spent two seasons at Ottawa University Arizona as the first base coach. At OUAZ, he also assisted with the catchers as well as developing all of the Spirit hitters.

Before his two seasons at OUAZ, Bowles was the assistant coach at Chaparral High School in Scotsdale. He helped the Firebirds win back-to-back regional championships in 2017 and 2018. During his tenure at Chaparral, he coached two 2017 MLB draft picks and before Chaparral, Bowles was the head varsity coach for Wiscasset High School in Wiscasset, Maine, where he led the school to its first-ever Western Main Class D Regional Championship, earning a berth into the Class D State Championship game in 2014.

The Tucson, Arizona native brings a wealth of experience coaching all over the country. He spent a season at Central Maine Community College in Auburn, Maine; four years at St. Dominic's Academy where he won two state championships in baseball in 2009 and 2011. In 2007 he was a volunteer assistant at St. Joseph's College working with hitters and outfielders. While in Standish, the Monks won the GNAC Conference Championship and earned a berth into the NCAA Division III New England Regionals.

He received his Bachelor's in History and just completed his Master's in Italian Studies, both from Arizona. Coach Bowles is continuing his education as he is currently enrolled at the University of Oklahoma where he is pursuing a Master's in Museum Studies. 

Bowles currently resides in Port Wentworth, Ga. and lives with his wife, Stephanie, and dog, José.Â
