Luke Dyer enters his third season as Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at the University of South Carolina Beaufort in 2025–26.

Dyer has played a key role in the rapid development of the Sand Sharks under Head Coach Ron Fudala. In 2024–25, USCB took a major step forward, finishing with a 21–10 overall record, including an 11–7 mark in Peach Belt Conference play. The Sand Sharks earned their first-ever Peach Belt Conference Tournament berth and advanced to the championship final. Dyer’s work on the court has contributed to strong player development, including three All-Conference players and one PBC Freshman of the Year.

Prior to joining USCB, Dyer enjoyed a highly successful playing career at West Liberty University, where he helped the Hilltoppers to a 127–22 record over five seasons. He won four Mountain East Conference regular season championships, two MEC tournament titles, and helped guide the team to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight in 2021. His name is etched in the WLU record books in several categories, including assists, steals, and three-point shooting percentage.

Dyer ranks second all-time in NCAA history with a 5.9 assist-to-turnover ratio. During his collegiate career, he averaged 4.9 points, 3.8 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 23.5 minutes per game.

He earned both his bachelor's degree in Business Management (2020) and his MBA (2022) from West Liberty University.

At USCB, Dyer operates in many facets of the program on and off the court. He came highly recommended by respected coaches, including National Champion Nova Southeastern Head Coach Jim Crutchfield, National Runner-Up Coach Ben Howlett, and former Duquesne Head Coach and West Virginia Associate Head Coach Ron Everhart.
