Jamese Franklin begins her second season as a member of USCB’s Women’s Basketball coaching staff in 2024. 

The Hilton Head native began her basketball career playing three years at Hilton Head Prep before going to play for the Seahawks during her senior season. After graduating, she went on to play two years at Southern Wesleyan before injuries forced her to end her career early. 

She returned home and immediately began coach, spending two years as the Hilton Head Middle School head coach before moving to her alma mater where she spent two years coaching the Seahawks. 

After her stint with Hilton Head High, she began coaching at SCISA powerhouse Hilton Head Christian Academy. During her six year tenure with the Eagles from 2016-23, she helped guide the varsity squad to a record five consecutive State Championships from 2019-23.

Born and raised on Hilton Head, Franklin, she comes from an athletic background as her parents have coached in Beaufort County. Her father as both a football and track and field coach while her mother coached basketball. Franklin currently resides on Hilton Head Island.
