Torri McCullough enters his second season on the USCB Women’s Basketball coaching staff as Sharon Versyp’s assistant in 2024. The Marietta, Georgia native brings a great deal of experience to Versyp’s staff, mainly at the high school level.
McCullough was a walk-on for the men’s basketball team at Life University where he graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor’s in Business Management. While still in Marietta, he began his coaching career at East Cobb Middle School. He then enrolled at Clemson University where he earned a graduate degree in Human Resources with an emphasis in Athletic Leadership.
While completing his graduate degree, he moved to Beaufort, South Carolina and completed an internship at Savannah State University. During his time in the Lowcountry, he became the assistant coach for Battery Creek’s Boys Basketball team and the head coach for the Dolphins volleyball team. While on staff at Creek he helped lead the boys basketball team to multiple region championships and a 2A Lower State Championship appearance.
As the head volleyball coach, McCullough led the Dolphins to four consecutive region titles from 2016-19 and a 3A Lower State Championship appearance in 2019.
He currently serves as the middle school counselor at River Ridge Academy in Bluffton and was recently appointed as the Director of the Beaufort Elite Volleyball Club, where is also the coach for the 18U team.
McCullough resides in Beaufort with his wife and the two have a daughter who plays collegiate volleyball.
