MYRTLE BEACH, SC-The USCB track team competed at the Shamrock Invitational this week-end. Over 40 colleges and universities and 1300 individuals from across the country were on hand at the Douglas Shaw Complex in Myrtle Beach.
 
Katie Mock and Kristy Grannan competed for the Sand Shark women. Mock set a personal best for 1500 meters running 5:23.07 while Grannan ran the 800meter event in 2:39.97.
 
USCB sent five men to the meet. Shannon Anderson doubled in the 100 and 200 clocking times of 11.36 and 23.16. Frank Tinsley recorded a time of 53.01 for 400 meters. Nic Tones and John Stanas both competed at the 1500 meter distance running times of 4:12.66 and 4:31.22 respectively. Rounding out the Sand Shark contingent was Tommy Reeves who ran 16:14.71 for 5000 meters.
 
USCB will next be in action this coming Saturday at the Georgia Southern Invitational in Statesboro, GA.
