FIN FACTS
• Seniors Chelsie Mummert, Fred Gallman, Alexa Muffley and Steph Moldenhauer are the only players on the USCB roster who have been with the program since its inaugural season in 2011. Junior DeAngelus Anderson also played on the inaugural squad but sat out last season.Â
• Senior MF Alexa Muffley scored a goal in USCB's season-opening win at Milligan, improving on her school-record totals for goals (11) and points (25). Muffley (knee) has not played since the second minute of the Sand Sharks' home opener versus Georgia Gwinnett.
• Three freshmen contributed to goals in their collegiate debuts at Milligan. Mandy Preciado (Los Angeles, Calif.) scored one goal and assisted on another and MJ Orduna (Jacksonville, Fla.) scored the game-winner off an assist from Hayley Pina (Culver City, Calif.).Â
• USCB's three shots on goal allowed against Milligan marked the lowest total by an opponent since the Sand Sharks held West Virginia Tech without a single shot on frame in the second game of the 2013 season.Â
• The Sand Sharks are 4-0 all-time against teams from the state of North Carolina. USCB has won two games each against St. Andrews and Warren Wilson. The Knights are USCB's only opponent from the Tar Heel state this season.
• USCB's homecoming celebration is scheduled for Sept. 29-Oct. 4 with the homecoming soccer match against SCAD Savannah scheduled for 1 p.m. on Oct. 4. Other highlights will include the USCB Fall Classic Golf Tournament at Sanctuary Golf Club in Beaufort on Oct. 3 and the 2nd annual USCB Homecoming Concert featuring American Idol and USCB alumna Candice Glover and opening act Burnell Taylor.
