HARDEEVILLE — The University of South Carolina Beaufort baseball team wrapped up a sweep of its three-game Sun Conference series against visiting Ave Maria with a 3-2 victory in 10 innings Sunday at Richard Gray Sports Complex.

Blake Drew (5-3) picked up the win with three innings of scoreless relief, allowing one hit and one walk. Starter Kutler Lane retired the first 11 batters of the game and pitched six strong innings, allowing two runs on four hits, and Gage Roth pitched a perfect seventh.
Holt's RBI groundout in the fourth opened the scoring, but the Gyrenes answered with two in the top of the fifth to take a 2-1 lead. Venezia started a two-out rally with a double in the seventh and came around to score the tying run on Reinhart's single to right-center.
John Cloyd and Zack Saldivar strung together back-to-back singles with one out in the 10th and moved up on Ashly Morris' groundout before Cole ripped a shot down the right-field line to plate Cloyd with the winning run.
