@USCBSoccer Falls to Sun Conference Foe St. Thomas

Miami Gardens, FL-- The St. Thomas University Bobcats (7-0-1, 4-0) came out on the attack and didn't let up for 90 minutes. Th Bobcats controlled much of the match, forcing USCB to spend a majority of the match defending. The offense from St. Thomas finally wore down a USCB back line which had been holding strong so far this year.

"All the credit goes to St. Thomas. They came out ready to go and pressed us the entire game," Coach Ed Heberling said following the 6-0 loss Saturday evening.

The Bobcats put 11 shots on goal and found the back of the net on six occasions. Contributions to the score sheet came from Sarah Lyppert Thomss, Alexa Rivera, Jannel Johnson (2) and Amyah Banks (2).

Cristina Garwacki locked down the goal for the Bobcats, stopping all both of USCB's 2 shots on goal.

Coach Heberling added, "Unfortunately we could not repeat our form from Wednesday and it hurt us. We now have to prepare for SCAD on Wednesday, as it is always a challenging game for us."

With the loss, the Sand Sharks fall to 5-5-0 overall and 2-3 in conference play. USCB will take the field again Wednesday in a rivalry match at SCAD Savannah at 6:30 p.m.
