MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – The USCB baseball team hit four home runs – including a pair by Wade Arduini – en route to a doubleheader sweep at Brewton-Parker on Tuesday.
GAME 1 – USCB 5, BPC 1
Left-hander Nick Constan dominated the Barons in a seven-inning complete game, striking out 10 and allowing one run on three hits.
Arduini's three-run blast in the fourth inning gave USCB a 3-1 lead, and Nick Graham added a two-run shot in the sixth. Arduini was 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBIs, while Thomas Estopare went 3-for-4.
Constan retired the last 10 batters and allowed just one baserunner after the second inning.

GAME 2 – USCB 7, BPC 5
Arduini's solo homer in the second gave the Sand Sharks an early lead, but the Barons responded with two runs in the bottom of the frame to take the lead.
USCB regained control with a three-run rally with two outs in the fifth, as Estopare and Brandon Joyce smacked back-to-back doubles to tie it before Bobby Wenthe put the Sand Sharks ahead with an RBI single and Arduini followed with an RBI double for a 4-2 advantage.
Brewton-Parker went back on top with three runs in the sixth, but Kal Davis led off the seventh with a walk and Wenthe followed with a two-run blast to right, adding to his single-season school record with his 10th home run. USCB added an insurance run when Justin Kortessis singled and advanced to third on a throwing error before coming home on a passed ball for a 7-5 lead.
Michael Biasello retired the side in order in the bottom of the seventh for his sixth save.

Wenthe's 10 home runs in his first season at USCB have moved him into second on the Sand Sharks' all-time list, trailing only Erik Armstrong (13). … Estopare extended his hitting streak to nine games, while Davis has reached base in 11 straight. … USCB pitchers have recorded double-digit strikeouts in 12 games this season with five different pitchers striking out at least 10 in a game.
