Head-To-Head

All-Time: USCB leads 4-1
Current Streak: USCB won last 4
All-Time At FMU: USCB leads 2-0

The Women's soccer teams heads on the road for the first time this season to take on Sun Conference foe Florida Memorial Unversity. The Sand Sharks are looking to bounce back from a rough stretch of Conference matches this past week. Florida Memorial is coming into the match looking to find their way to the conference win column as well, as they have dropped their last three matches to Sun Conference opponents.

Last season the Sand Sharks were able to take care of business with Florida Memorial by a 3-0 scoreline at home. USCB will have to move the ball and be able to find open spaces between the back line of the Lions in order to find success this Saturday. About his team's preparation for the match, Coach Heberling said, "We are looking forward to getting back on the field after Wednesday's match. The team knows we need to move the ball more effectively and produce some better scoring opportunities."

Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Saturday afternoon at Vizcaya Park in Miramar, Florida.

FIN FACTS

• All home games this season will be broadcast at no charge to viewers via the Sand Shark Gameday Network on Stretch Internet.

• The Sand Sharks return six starters from last year's team, including all-time leading scorer Hayley Piña and fellow seniors Karen Pimentel and MJ Orduña. The returners hope to quickly mesh with a talented group of newcomers that includes NCAA Division I transfer Rileigh Olsen, NJCAA All-American Melissa Fichtner, and promising freshmen Allison Schaffer and Hannah Salus, among others.

• Senior F Hayley Piña is the Sand Sharks' all-time leader in goals (29), assists (15) and points (71), and she ranks second with four career game-winning goals, one behind Alexa Muffley.

• Sophomore GK Moa Johansson entered the season as USCB's all-time leader in goals against average after posting a 1.53 GAA last season, the best single-season mark in program history.

• Six different players scored goals in USCB's season-opening 7-2 win against Life, and five different goal-scorers contributed to a 5-0 win over Middle Georgia.

• USCB's seven goals against the Running Eagles marked the second-most in program history and the most since a 14-1 win over Florida Christian in 2012.

• With nine points this season, senior MF MJ Orduña has moved into fourth place on USCB's career list with 32.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
The Lions are led by junior forward Lovely Placide who most recently scored in the Lions' 2-1 loss at conference rival SCAD Savannah. The Lions play a defensive style of play which looks to counter-attack its opponents--a style which proved difficult for the Sand Sharks to break in their last outing against Warner University last Wednesday.
